What
is flying trapeze?
Think of the circus and the men and women in tights flying through the air with the greatest
of ease and you've got it! Our rig is the same one we have used in performances with circuses all over the world.
How safe is it?
When you fly, you will be wearing a safety belt attached to
safety lines, making it quite safe as long as students stay within the limits of their skill and ability. You might experience
occasional minor bumps, scrapes and blisters. Expect some sore muscles at the beginning.
Who
can fly?
Almost anyone can give it a try. We have had students from 2 years old to over eighty! However,
if you have significant shoulder, arm, hand or back problems, you should probably watch from the sidelines. In addition, anyone
under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to fly.
What clothing/equipment
do I need?
It is most important to wear comfortable clothing that provides a full range of movement. Most
students prefer tee shirts and long tights or bicycle shorts because there are no loose parts to get in the way or fall off.
Socks are required. While flying, no eyeglasses or dangling jewelry should be worn. To minimize blisters or rips on your hands,
it's a good idea to bring athletic tape, gauze or gymnastics grips.
Is there anything
else I should know?
Flying trapeze, like any intense physical activity, involves certain inherent risks.
It is important that you read and understand the liability waiver before you sign it. If you have further questions,
please call us at 773-398-9881. Get ready for a thrilling ride!
